Kim began creating stories for his children and continued the tradition with his grandchildren. Those shared moments inspired Bump Pete Adventures and Poppy’s Stories, a home for stories that celebrate curiosity, kindness, and family connection.

Kim enjoys fishing, spending time outdoors, and being with family. Through Bump Pete’s adventures, he hopes to encourage families to read together, laugh often, and find joy in discovering the world around them.

When Weston was little, he called himself “Bump Pete.” That nickname sparked the idea for the curious boy at the heart of these stories. Weston shares in the creation of Bump Pete and his adventures alongside his grandfather.
